Palencia's Season of Giving

Palencia is preparing for the third annual Holiday Showhouse event, which will feature not one home as in years past, but four European Collection model homes by ICI Homes located in Bella Terra at Palencia, an award-winning community by Hines.

Karen Sutherland, vice president for the North Florida division of ICI Homes, said over two dozen professional artists, interior designers and decorators from the area will lavishly decorate both the inside and outside of the four homes for the holiday. 

The annual fundraising event will benefit four area charities: Builder’s Care, Trinity Rescue Mission, the St. Francis House and the Humane Society.

The doors to the Holiday Showhomes will open to the public on Nov. 3 and run through Dec. 15. Viewing hours will be Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.  

The garages of each model home will also be transformed into a row of shopping boutiques during the six-week long event. 

Golfers from around the First Coast will have their chance to play Palencia’s private championship golf club, a par-72 course designed by Arthur Hills.  A tournament is scheduled for Dec. 3 with a 12-noon shotgun.  

On Dec. 8, Palencia is teaming with 1st Place Sports for a 5K Jingle Bell run throughout Bella Terra. 

In lieu of admission to the Holiday Showhomes, Palencia will collect unwrapped toys and non-perishable food items. Other related events will be priced accordingly and all proceeds will benefit the above named charities.
