Entry into our programs is very easy but like anything that strives to be done decently and in order, there is a process:
First the potential client must complete a pre-screen interview. This interview gives us the opportunity to meet the client, explain our program in detail including all requirements, give the potential client an opportunity to ask questions and determine which program is the best fit for each individual. For a pre-screen interview please contact the Women and Children’s Center at 904-355-1205.
Then, the interview notes are reviewed by the director who determines if the client is eligible for placement in the women and children’s center. The potential client must follow-up within 3 days of their pre-screen interview to find out if they have been accepted and what placement they hold on the waiting list(s).
Finally, once a client is accepted into one of our programs, placement is made on a first-come, first-served basis. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure the WCC staff has proper contact information. Failed attempts to contact a client when a room or bed is available may result in the client being moved back to the bottom of the waiting list.
New appointment slots are opened on Monday’s for the current week – appointments are also given out on a first-come, first-served basis and can be limited based on projected room/bed availability.
