This is a 60 day program for women to stabilize the family unit, make a detailed assessment of their current life situation, and encourage clients to obtain childcare, employment and housing.
Shelter Services is divided into three distinct phases:
Phase I - 14 Days: clients are not allowed to leave the center except for pre-approved medical or dental appointments, work or school. This provides time for the detailed assessment, program assimilation and ensures each client has time to develop a strategy to obtain the needed services for their family.
Phase II – 30 Days: Clients are allowed to leave the center for specific verifiable appointments only. This includes interviews for work, school registration, appointments at various government agencies, etc. All meetings are mandatory during this phase unless the client is working or in school. The goal of this phase is to obtain childcare, employment and housing where it is applicable.
Phase III – 14 Days: Clients are allowed to leave the facility for any reason but are still required to attend all meetings unless working or in school.
Shelter Services is free for 30 days, after which there is a $50.00 per week program support fee required for continued program eligibility.
