Denise didn’t know what to do when she discovered she was pregnant. Embarrassed to tell her
parents, she fled to Jacksonville with a few hundred dollars in her pocket. Soon, she was homeless, penniless and sleeping in the back of a friend’s minivan.
Denise felt nobody cared. But she was wrong. God still cared. And she soon discovered that the people at Trinity Rescue Mission cared.
For Denise, hope started with a meal and a shower. She also attended our church services. It
was this unexpected kindness that saved her life, she says. “If not for the Mission, I don’t know if I would have made it,” she says.
Today, Denise has a steady job, her own home, a healthy child and a heart full of gratitude.
“This is all by the grace of God and help from the Mission when I needed it most,” she says.
Thousands of your homeless neighbors have no place else to turn for help. This is your chance to show them they still have hope . . . starting with a special Easter dinner, lovingly served by Mission volunteers.
